INVITATION TO APPLY FOR MarSocSci Committee

The Marine Social Sciences Network Committee is expanding! We’re always on the lookout for new ideas and new ways to grow Team MarSocSci, while thinking about how we can ensure we are adding value and supporting the wider marine social science research and practice community.  We want the Committee to represent the community. With this in mind, we would like to invite applications for the following MarSocSci Committee positions:

Treasurer and Fundraiser

Secretary and Data protection

Two Communications Officers

International Officer

The MarSocSci Committee operates on a voluntary basis – and should require no more than one day a month, although it is often likely to be less than this. Successful applicants will be expected to attend the quarterly committee meetings (either in person, where possible, or virtually).  It is possible that there might be some additional meetings from time to time.

We welcome applications from anyone working in any area of marine social science research or practice – including those working across disciplines, and those who might be newer to marine social sciences.  The selection process will take account of equality and diversity guidance.

If you’re interested, please send a CV and short statement of interest, outlining your background and relevant experience for the position you would like to be considered for to [email protected] by Sunday 10 November 2019.  The Executive Board will review all applications and will let successful candidates know by the end of October.
